well, in case you didnt know, Melody and I took the plunge, and went and bought a home for ourselves. this has all happened so fast that we didnt really have time to really take it all in let alone blog about it. well let me give you the info on this whole ordeal.
so last week, after finally coming to the realization that we were still too poor to become home owners, we thought we would look for a new apartment (our current place kind of sucks and is really small for our little family), but we would at least keep our eyes open for a good deal or a nice rent-to-own option. well thats when my wife, on Monday, was looking in the Sunday Paper classifieds for such a rent-to-own type of deal on a nice little townhouse. she actually found one for not too bad of a price. she then called her mother Kathi, who is now a Realtor with her Ray, her husband. the Realtor that she was thought, let me see what is in that area. she looked on the same street as said rent-to-own townhouse, and found another townhouse that was for sale, for wicked cheap! (now I'm not going to be naming any actual prices here so dont ask.)
so that evening, with the help of my Realtor-in-laws and their fancy realtor ways of breaking into houses, we got to check the place out from the inside. we instantly fell in love with it and we got all excited about it and decided to make a nice little offer on it.
so, the next day (tuesday) with the help of the in-laws, we made an offer on the townhouse. the next day (wednesday) we received an agreeable counter-offer to it.
so, long story short (this is actually the longest blog i've witten in awhile), we got the house and we close on June 18th (Melody's birthday! crazy huh).
right now we are super busy with deciding on how we want to paint and set up furniture and all that good stuff. below are some pictures that I had to steal off the realtor website. let me know what you think. and if anyone wants to help with painting, moving or any of that crazy stuff that goes with that, let me know.
